Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, an Indian chess grandmaster, was born in Chennai on August 10, 2005. He was a chess prodigy and earned the international master title at 10 years old. At 12 years, he became the second-youngest grandmaster to be awarded. He became the youngest person to beat Magnus Carlsen as a world champion at 16 years old, beating Carlsen in a rapid match at the Airthings Masters Rapid Chess Tournament.

Praggnanandhaa was the youngest International Master in 2016, at the age 10 months and 19 days. He was also awarded the World Youth Chess Championships Under-8 title, earning him the title FIDE Master at age 7. In 2015, he won the title of Under-10.

Praggnanandhaa, a chess prodigy is currently the fifth-youngest Grandmaster. In 2018, he was awarded the title. He is behind Abhimanyu Mishihara, Sergey Karjakin and Gukesh D, as well as Javokhir Sindarov.

Praggnanandhaa, who was 12 years, 10 months and 13 days old, had been named the second-youngest Grandmaster in 2018 chess history. At 12 years old, Sergey Karjakin from Ukraine was the youngest Grandmaster. He had been born seven months ago in 1990.

Praggnanandhaa defeated world number one Carlsen 4-2, to win three consecutive games in the final round FTX Crypto Cup 2022 Miami. After the first two games ended in draws, Carlsen won his third game. Praggnanandhaa made a remarkable comeback and won the second and third games in the tiebreak. This makes the scorecard 4-2. This is an incredible feat, as no other player was able to beat him this season.
